Apprenticeship Week 2012

This year Apprenticeship Week was on the week of the 6th of February to the 10th. We started the week by attending a Steven Lawrence Jobs Fair which took place at the Steven Lawrence Centre on the 6th February. This event was opened by speeches from the Greater London Authority and current apprentices; followed by a speed-networking task which gave young people 10 minutes to gather as much information from each stall at a time and to find out more about what apprenticeships they offer. LAC attended the Backing Business event hosted by RBKC on the 8th February which celebrated the contribution of local businesses creating opportunities for people in the community. Awards went from Apprentice of 2011 to Community Engagement Employer 2011! We ended the week by attending the Enfields Job Fair which was hosted by Nick De Bois, and was opened by Boris Johnson! With over 1,000 people coming in through the doors, we were able to receive quite a number of interest in the London Apprenticeship Company. Our CV Dropbox also proved successful, as young people were able to leave their interest there and then, and apply. See more information here
